About me
I grew up on the coast of Connecticut fishing for stripers and anything else I could find. It wasn’t until I moved to Montana that my aunt got me into fly fishing for trout. I moved back east to Vermont and that’s where I really learned how to fly fish. Fishing small streams for usually, even smaller fish was a rough way to learn. The first year was far more flies lost to trees and bushes than fish landed.
I went to school for biology focusing on ecology. I did research on everything from water quality to animal behavior, spending two years watching birds off the coast to understand what and where they hunt. To me fishing is much the same, the more you understand the fish’s behavior, the more successful we will be at putting them in the net. I enjoy wade fishing because it allows us to analyze and break down a section of river.
Come fish with me!
