About me
Before I moved to Colorado in 2001, I had never even heard of fly fishing. I never really thought standing in a river would be an enjoyable way to spend my time. About twelve years later I was invited to fish the Blue River with a couple of friends and although it was trial by fire, I was hooked.
For the next year, the struggle was real for me– a lot of tangles and a lot of lost flies due to bad knots. Over time and after a lot of trial and error, I was spending more and more time fishing, and less time fixing problems.
As I was learning how to fish, I was also working on my master’s degree. Upon completing my degree, it only took me a few months of working in an office to realize that it wasn’t for me, and very shortly after that, I became a fishing guide.
