South Platte – Cheesman Canyon Report | July

I had the day off today and my good friend Travis and I headed up to Cheesman to see what 800cfs really looks like in the Canyon.  Although 800cfs is a lot of water, Cheesman is far from blown out. Gin clear water, lots of bugs, and plenty of hungry fish made for a good morning outing.

We arrived at the parking lot around 7:30am and by 8:30 we we’re into our first fish.  The fly of the day seemed to be a pink worm,
